Latest Summit News

Microsoft is the latest industry leading vendor to become an official sponsor of the 2009 NGT Africa Summit.

Microsoft partners with service providers in the telecommunications industry to leverage respective assets and collective strengths to deliver rich user experiences across a range of devices and to enable the delivery of those services with Microsoft platforms, related developer technologies, and Microsoft’s broad partner ecosystem.

Next Generation Telecom Africa Summit is a three day critical information gathering bringing together C-level technology executives from regional incumbents and operators. NGT Africa brings together the telecom sector’s leading innovators to share ideas on the deployment of mobile, broadband and fixed services in a rapidly converging market.

A unique market where timing and decision making will define the winners. Africa is the fastest growing market for both mobile and fixed telephony in the world. Broadband internet access is experiencing huge consumer demand and is readily acknowledged for its contribution towards social development. Yet Africa still has the world’s lowest penetration rates. The convergence of fixed and mobile networks and services is the top priority for all operators and carriers. Management teams able to create innovative access and services via well planned technology systems will capitalize on the world’s most lucrative mobile opportunity.

The main aim of the NGT summit is to create discussion between busy and focused technology leaders. This is an opportunity to debate, benchmark and learn from other leaders in the competitive telecom industry. NGT Africa is a C-level event reserved for a maximum of 75 participants.

The format includes expert workshops, facilitated roundtables, peer-to-peer networking, coordinated technology meetings.

GDS International has built a reputation of respect amongst C-level executives in the finance, retail and telecoms markets through a unique and sophisticated approach to intimate and effective event planning.
